Jenny Sarah Slate, an American actress, comedian, and author, is known for her role as Donna Stern in the comedy-drama film Obvious Child. She has also portrayed Mona Lisa Saperstein in the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, voiced Gidget in The Secret Life of Pets and its sequel, and appeared in films such as Zootopia, Despicable Me 3, and The Lego Batman Movie. Additionally, Slate has written a children’s book, co-created and co-hosted a podcast, and made guest appearances on television shows like Bob’s Burgers, Girls, and Raising Hope. She was part of the Saturday Night Live cast during the 2009â10 season. Notably, Slate gained popularity for voicing the character Marcel the Shell with Shoes On in a series of short films.
