James Roday Rodriguez is an American actor, director, and producer best known for his portrayal of Shawn Spencer in the USA Network series “Psych” (2006-2014). He has since starred in numerous films and television shows, including “The Dukes of Hazzard” (2005), “Beerfest” (2006), “Gravy” (2015), “A to Z” (2014-2015), and “The Rookie” (2018-present).
In addition to his acting career, Roday has also directed several episodes of “Psych” and served as a producer on the show. He has also written several short stories and screenplays.
Roday has received critical acclaim for his work, earning three Golden Globe nominations and winning the Satellite Award for Best Actor in a Series, Comedy or Musical in 2009 for his role in “Psych.” He also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2017.
