As a founding cartoonist for Mad, Davis continued to contribute to the magazine even after it transitioned to a magazine format. His caricatures often featured exaggerated anatomy, such as large heads and skinny legs, and his work graced the covers of numerous tabloids. Davis’ prolific career also included creating posters for films like The Long Goodbye and Bananas, illustrating covers for magazines like Time, and designing a 25 cent stamp for the U.S. Postal Service in 1989.
