George Watsky, an American rapper, poet, and writer, is renowned for his rapid and intellectually stimulating spoken word performances. He rose to fame after appearing on the HBO television series Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry and has since released numerous albums and authored several books. Among his most acclaimed works are the album “x Infinity” and the New York Times Bestseller essay collection “How to Ruin Everything.” Watsky’s other notable accomplishments include competing in the Brave New Voices slam poetry contest, delivering a TEDx talk titled “How to Ruin a Poem,” and featuring in TV shows and films such as BoJack Horseman and Blindspotting. He also holds a Guinness World Record for the longest continuous rap, clocking in at 33 hours, 33 minutes, and 33 seconds. Watsky began his slam poetry journey at just 15 years old, winning multiple slams in the Bay Area.
