Dana Plato was an American actress, most recognized for her portrayal of Kimberly Drummond in the 1980s sitcom “Diff’rent Strokes.” She began her television acting career at just 10 years old, starring in the 1975 TV movie “Beyond the Bermuda Triangle.” Although she had a promising career, Plato struggled with drug addiction and legal problems, leading to her untimely death in 1999 at the age of 34. Some of her other notable works include “Exorcist II: The Heretic,” “Return to Boggy Creek,” “California Suite,” “The Love Boat,” and “Babylon 5.”
