Christopher Gilbert Pérez, an American guitarist from San Antonio, Texas, is renowned for his role as the lead guitarist in the Tejano band Selena y Los Dinos. He married the group’s frontwoman, Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, in 1992. Pérez later formed the Chris Pérez Band, a Latin Rock ensemble that incorporated both English and Spanish rhythms. As a Grammy-winning guitarist, Pérez also authored an autobiography titled “To Selena, with Love” and established Blue Mariachi Productions, a production studio for TV, film, and music. Notably, Pérez is the widower of Selena, who was known as the Queen of Tejano music.
