Chris Daniels is a renowned personality best known as an American professional wrestler. He is a former two-time ROH World Champion, as well as a former WWE superstar. Daniels is well-known for his outstanding in-ring skills, high-flying moves, and excellent mic skills. Some of his notable works, apart from wrestling, include his appearance in the movie The Wrestler, his role as a voice actor in Scooby-Doo! WrestleMania Mystery, and his outstanding performances in various wrestling promotions including TNA Impact Wrestling, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and Ring of Honor.
Chris Daniels got his ring name from a combination of two things. First, he is a fan of the comic book character “Christopher Daniels,” and secondly, he wanted a surname that would reflect his love of the 1980s television series “Miami Vice.” Since the main character’s name was James “Sonny” Crockett, Daniels chose “Chris Daniels” as a reference to that character.
Chris Daniels has been involved in the writing of comics alongside being a professional wrestler. In 1999, he co-wrote his first comic book, “Christopher Daniels and Kindaichi’s Case Book.” After that, he worked on several other comic book projects, including “Bad Guys,” “Stargate SG-1,” and “Awesome Adventures.” Daniels is also an avid collector of comic books and has written columns for the Comic Buyer’s Guide.
