Casey Kasem was a renowned American radio host, DJ, and voice actor. He gained prominence as the host of the nationally syndicated radio show “American Top 40” from 1970 to 1988, and later from 1998 to 2004. In addition to his radio career, Kasem was a prolific voice actor, contributing his talents to popular animated TV shows such as “Scooby-Doo” and “Transformers”. A passionate activist for animal rights, he often voiced animal characters in various productions. Kasem passed away at the age of 82 on Father’s Day in 2014. Interestingly, he started his professional broadcasting career in Flint, Michigan before rising to fame as the host of American Top 40, which became the most popular radio program in history.
