Bernard Freeman, known by his stage name Bun B, is a multifaceted American rapper, food enthusiast, professor, and avid supporter of Houston. He gained fame as a founding member of the renowned southern rap duo UGK, whose highly praised album “Ridin’ Dirty” is regarded as one of the greatest hip-hop albums ever. Bun B has worked with various prominent artists, such as Aubrey Drake Graham, and has released several solo albums, including “Trill OG” and “UGK 4 Life”. Besides his music career, he is passionate about education and has been a guest lecturer at Rice University in Houston. In 2019, Bun B threw the first pitch at an Astros game and narrated the team’s hype video for the American League Championship Series.
