Bret Michaels, an American singer, musician, actor, and filmmaker, was born as Bret Michael Sychak on March 15, 1963. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Poison, which has sold more than 50 million albums globally, including 15 million records in the United States. The band has achieved 10 Top 40 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, featuring the well-known hit “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” In addition to his work with Poison, Michaels has enjoyed a fruitful solo career, releasing albums such as “Freedom of Sound” and “Custom Built.” He has also appeared on reality TV shows like “Rock of Love” and “Celebrity Apprentice.”
Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at a young age, Michaels has been a dedicated supporter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
