Scottish actor and musician Billy Boyd is best known for his role as Peregrin ‘Pippin’ Took in the acclaimed Lord of the Rings film trilogy directed by Peter Jackson. He has also appeared in other films such as Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, where he portrayed Barret Bonden, and Seed of Chucky, in which he played the characters Glen and Glenda (later known as G.G. Valentine). As the lead singer of the band Beecake, Boyd has released multiple albums. Notably, he underwent emergency appendicitis surgery during the production of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
