Beulah Bondi was a renowned American actress recognized for her motherly roles in various TV series and films. She received critical acclaim for her performance in the 1937 film ‘Make Way for Tomorrow.’ Some of her most notable works include ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ (1946), ‘Our Town’ (1940), ‘The Waltons’ (1971-1980), ‘The Fugitive’ (1963-1967), and ‘Back Street’ (1941). Despite being nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards four times, she never won. Bondi passed away in 1981 at the age of 91. In addition to her film roles, she portrayed Martha Corinne Walton in two episodes of ‘The Waltons,’ earning an Emmy Award for her guest appearance.
