Alexandra Hedison is an American photographer, director, and actress known for her role as Dylan Moreland in the TV series “The L Word”. She has also acted in other television shows like “Melrose Place” and “L.A. Firefighters” and appeared in films such as “Sleep with Me” and “Max Is Missing”. Hedison’s photography, which explores themes of identity, transformation, and urban landscapes, has been exhibited internationally, including at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Deutsche Guggenheim in Berlin. She has directed the award-winning documentary “In the Dog House” and served as the director of photography for the first season of “The L Word”.
In 2017, Hedison co-chaired the 14th edition of the Hammer Museum’s annual Gala in the Garden with her wife, Jodie Foster, whom she married in 2014. Her other notable works include appearances in TV series such as “Prey”, “Attwood’s Boss”, and “NightMan”. She was previously in a relationship with comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres from 2000 to 2004.
