The Premier Of John Wick: Chapter 4 or JW4
The Premier Of John Wick: Chapter 4 or JW4 –
The John Wick movies are a popular action film franchise that follows the story of a former hitman who seeks revenge after his beloved dog is killed. The series stars Keanu Reeves as the titular character and has become known for its intense action sequences and unique visual style.
The history behind the John Wick movies begins with the co-directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, who were former stunt performers and coordinators. The duo had worked with Keanu Reeves on the set of The Matrix trilogy and developed a strong working relationship with him. In 2014, Stahelski and Leitch approached Reeves with the script for John Wick, which they had developed together with screenwriter Derek Kolstad.
The idea for the film came from Kolstad’s own personal experiences with loss and grief, and the story was influenced by classic revenge films such as The Killer and Point Blank. The film was produced with a budget of $20 million and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2014, where it received positive reviews.
The film’s success led to the creation of two sequels, John Wick: Chapter 2 and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, both of which were also directed by Stahelski and written by Kolstad. The franchise has since become known for its world-building and intricate mythology, which revolves around an underground society of assassins known as the High Table.
The John Wick movies have been praised for their innovative action scenes and strong performances, with Keanu Reeves in particular receiving acclaim for his portrayal of the stoic and deadly John Wick. The series has also been successful at the box office, grossing over six hundred million US dollars worldwide.
What Can Be Expected With John Wick: Chapter 4
John Wick: Chapter 4 is the next entry into the American neo-noir action thriller film franchise and is directed by Chad Stahelski and written by Derek Kolstad. It is the fourth installment in the John Wick franchise, following John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum released in 2019.
The movie stars Keanu Reeves as a legendary hitman who is forced to come out of retirement once again when a dangerous assassin from his past returns seeking revenge. The plot follows after the events of chapter three, where we see John having retrieved his car back from a group of assassins and driving off into exile with a $14 million bounty on his head.
He has been warned that if he ever steps foot in New York City or any other Continental Hotel around the world, he will be killed instantly. However there is no rest for this weary warrior as it seems someone wants him dead even more than The High Table do. In this installment, an old enemy from his past has returned to seek bloody vengeance and they have given him until midnight to get out of town before they hunt him down and kill him.
With stakes higher than ever before and enemies coming at him from virtually every turn, viewers can expect some intense fight scenes between the reluctant but driven hero and those trying to take away what little life he has managed to keep.
Laurence Fishburne will return as the Bowery King along with several new characters joining the cast including Anjelica Huston playing ‘The Director’, the head of a mysterious organization working against both sides in this conflict. This could mean even bigger trouble for John Wick when her story line comes into play during chapter 4.
